OUTCAST

A "PROPHET" He calls me
A "PROPHET OF THE MOST HIGH GOD"

I remain on my knees as He speaks
He burns the words within me
"YOU ARE A PROPHET"

I answer back slowly
"No, I'm not. There are no prophets anymore."

"YOU ARE MY PROPHET"  He repeats
until I acknowledge His Words
He lets me get off my knees

What is it with You, GOD
that you can do things
that are not written in the Word?

“I AM GOD!
I AM THE LIVING WORD!”

What is it with You,
that You think us humans
will actually accept Your Words
through a person who says
they "hear from GOD"?

“I KEEP TRYING!”

GOD, what is it with You
that never allows You to give up on us?

“MY GREAT LOVE!”

You didn't give up on the Israelites
You won't give up on Your Church

“THAT'S RIGHT!”

All the Words You speak through me
are of Purity and Righteousness
as if You expect us to be
Holy as You are Holy

“I DO!”

GOD, what gives You the idea
that we could ever attain such a level?

“BY MY BLOOD, CHILD, ONLY THROUGH MY BLOOD!”

GOD, why do You have such Hope for mankind?

“I CREATED THEM
I WILL REDEEM THEM TO BE MY OWN!”

You know we walk blindly about and basically
just listen to each other
We say we want to hear from You
but when Your Word comes
Most ignore it

GOD, do You feel like an "outcast"?
You must
I know I do when I speak Your Words
I know the remarks and the criticisms
and the words said against me
That must really hurt You

Most of Your Prophets were killed
They were innocent of any crime
They just listened to You and obeyed

I listen to You
and obey
and I lost everything
But in the process,
I gained what was really important
YOU!!!

I know what it feels like
to have Your Arms around me and You hold me tight!
I know what it feels like
to cry and feel Your Tears mingled with mine!
I know what it feels like
to dance on a street of gold as crystal
and have You dance beside me in utter JOY!
I know what it feels like
to have You hold my hands in Yours
and look into my eyes and You say
to me for the ten millionth time
"LET GO, CHILD --- JUST LET GO!"
I know what it feels like
to feel Your Breath go into my body
and fill me with Your Spirit!
I know what it feels like
to be shot out of bed like a rocket
only because I asked for a simple Confirmation!

Yes, I'm an OUTCAST to this world
but I have
a "HOME" like none other
with my Friend
of the heart
and I am content
to be alone
with my GOD!
