DARK NIGHT

The violence continues

The children swept away unto death

Or worse, incarceration

People urge others to prayer

But realize that their prayers

Have not worked in the past

So why summon God now

The nights become darker

Many days darker still

And the minds that gather tolerance

Preach on their score

And all that they have won

In this battle to transform the masses

To outright bedlam

I imagine it had to come to this point

As I observe the churches

And their penchant for good news,

Mediocrity, basically . . .

Dances with the devil

But the churches are not the only

Place to put the blame

As we ponder our daily rituals

Our sequestered time alone with God

As we look closely to see the thread

Of Truth and Righteousness

Within our own lives

Just how far, as individuals, have we fallen

And how silent have we become

So as not to disturb the peace

Of our own sanctuary?

The reaper comes

And the doorpost must have

The Blood of the Innocent Lamb

As its seal

Or death and darkness comes

In all forms

I have personally "preached" repentance

Unto Righteousness

For just 2 months short of 25 years

And gained not one

The losses have been many

Too many to count

And the battle front daily

Is to look to the future

And not the failure of the past

For friends, I KNOW that my Redeemer LIVES

And I know His offer still stands

Just as boldly and uncompromisingly

In the darkness as in the light

But you have to take hold of it

Giving up all else

Or you are not worthy

Will not be truly filled

Cannot count on protection

Or guidance

25 year Anniversary coming very soon

And I have no cause to Celebrate

Except that His Faithfulness within me

Brought me through every battle

Psalm 94

Darkness will consume this nation

In just a few "hours"

And the clock will not be able

To turn backwards

Because you finally realize

The depth of your depravity

Time marches on

And the reaper has already been assigned

Its lot

The days will not be shortened

Due to grief

The church doors may look open

But no one within their halls

Will have the answer you need

Their wine is only juice now

The bread of Communion

As fake as styrofoam

And the promises of true Communion

With the Almighty

Nullified by unconfessed, unrepentant sin

Psalm 25

The children's innocence

Removed in a second

Their parents torn from their grip

Sadness, abandonment, hunger

Will sear their souls

And the loss will be more than

This country can bear

Because it will not just happen to

The foreigner

but the rich

The relaxed

The falsely secure

The rulers far and wide . . .

What can cause such upheaval?

Surely your money, title, place in society grant you safety

But not with the Judgment to come

Not any longer

No more!

MW

“Weep for your children are gone

But they were never really yours

To begin with

Society as a whole

Holds your child's heart

If you have not brought them up

In My Care, submissive to My teachings,

Wrapped in My Love

At this late date,

How will you ‘buy’ them back

And protect them?

How?
