Hope runs pure and unrestrained

amongst the inhabitants of another land

It is not a foreign concept there or

something which must be gathered up

It is pure and it is loud and quiet

at the same time

It breathes in and out through the people

and they cannot stop this Hope

 

It was always meant to be this way

It is not just an idle promotion

for those of the religious sector

It is not something to be managed

or prescribed by professionals

 

It is pure and it is God Breathed

and it is sustainable

but it must be welcomed

 

How in the world

do we “welcome” Hope?

How do we invite it

to come and pulse through us?

Is there a way to embrace it

and not lose it?

 

There once was Savior who came

and Hope was who He was and still is

He remains the Signature of Hope

for He annihilated death itself

He suffered the disgrace of people’s hatred

but still this Hope endured

and He conquered

and He rose again,

but not just from the grave

He rose from the despair

and hatred and shame

that the people placed upon Him

He rose to Breathe out

who He is through us

and all that He Breathes

moment by moment

results in Hope

 

Hope is who He is

He is not a figment of man’s imagination

He is not a story told well

He is not even a historical figure

come and gone

 

He lives eternal

and every moment of His life

is HOPE

 

Do not despair

This Savior has overcome death

and sickness, hatred, hopelessness,

the trial and error of humans

and He lives to bring you HOPE

 

Yes, there is another land

where Hope runs pure

and abundant and this Hope

is never stopped or found wanting

For you see

it is the land where the Savior is found

 

But could it not be said

that because the Savior

journeyed to another land

that He left for us His Spirit,

the Holy Spirit

which is also Hope?

 

Can we not still live

as they live in the other land

because the Holy Spirit has come

to Breathe in us and through us

and set us free from all

that the Savior was set free from?

 

These are facts

concerning the life of the Savior

but they’re not to just be read

and meditated on

We are to welcome this Holy Spirit,

this Hope, to come into our beings

and set us fully free

from all that is not Hope

 

Come, Holy Spirit!

Do not delay

We welcome You to come

and take over

Cleanse us from all that keeps You dormant

Spread out and emancipate us

for we are mortal, feeble and lost

without You.

 

“Yes, my soul, find rest in God;

my Hope comes from Him.”

Psalm 62:5

“May the God of Hope

fill you with all Joy and Peace

as you trust in Him,

so that you may overflow with Hope

by the Power of the Holy Spirit.”
