Sparrow Flight

The balance of power

is found in a small sparrow’s wing

The Touch of the Creator

to subdue the haughty

When will the sparrow take flight

and when she does

what will be her destination?

She rides on the wind current

ever higher

for the Creator has drawn her so

Once a captive of this earth

She fought the current of opposition

and flew broken, mangled,

helpless

But the Father sees each sparrow

and lifted her load

He healed her wings

Put new Power into her core

and sent her soaring

You can hear her sing

if you give a listen

You can know her heart

if you care to learn

You can see her on flight

if you’re of the Spirit

Rest little bird this day

Your story be told

The Glory is God’s
