The script is written
The characters alive and breathing
but what is this that so divides you,
creatures of the dark?

The Light came
but you hid your eyes
The Light would expose what kept you apart
what caused you to continue to hurt each other
but you hid beneath the covers
and convinced yourselves
that there truly is no light
no better way

I will open your eyes
to see Love, as it was meant to be
I will open your heart
to know Love, as it was fashioned to be
whole, complete, satisfying, sacrificing
I will open your soul
to know Me
and in turn, to know those about you
who so long for the Light
but substitute with all that they can find
so that the darkness
does not feel like death

But friends, darkness does lead to death
There is Light which scatters the darkness
and will set you free to be
all that I designed
