The ant
climbed up the hill
step upon step upon step
He was a worker ant and he knew it
Every day
was the same
WORK - WORK - WORK
but there was
food to eat and a place to rest
He was happy
but
unfulfilled
He worked day after day
with no
dreams of other things
other worlds
other hills
His life was planned out for him
since birth

The man worked
He worked and he worked and he worked
His life consisted of work
eating and sleeping
He looked
for success
He looked
for happiness
He looked
for fulfillment
but
it was basically a life
of work

He worked
as the ant did
He climbed the hill
the ladder of his life
and that was
all

Is
there more?
Were we created
for more than just
simple work?

step by step

in the church
How was his life
any different than before?

THERE
WAS ONCE
A MAN
WHO CAME
AND
CLIMBED A HILL
THE LADDER
IN A
DIFFERENT FASHION
HE LAID
UPON
A WOODEN STAKE
AND HAD
NAILS HAMMERED
INTO HIS
HANDS AND FEET
HIS WORK
WAS
FINISHED

HE COULD
NO LONGER
WORK

HE COULD
NO LONGER
SERVE

HE COULD
NO LONGER
CLIMB THE HILL
CLIMB THE LADDER
TO SUCCESS

BUT
SUCCESS CAME
WHEN
THE WORK
TRULY ENDED

LIFE
CAME
WHEN
DEATH WAS CANCELLED

FULFILLMENT
CAME
WHEN
THE
WORK WAS DONE

As Christians
we can work
and
we can serve
we can fast
and
we can pray
we can teach
and
we can evangelize
we can exhort
and
we can prophesy
but
the work of man
TRULY ENDS
when
we
COME TO THE CROSS

IS IT
THE RISEN LORD
CREATING
THROUGH
YOU
CELEBRATING
THROUGH
YOU
LIVING
THROUGH
YOU
LOVING
THROUGH
YOU
OR
are you
still working?

THE CROSS
ended
the work!
The work
the
soulish work
WILL END
when
we die
to the
"old man"

There is
NO NEED
for
the work
when
the
RESURRECTION
IS
COMPLETE!

THERE IS
NO
TRUE WORK

ONLY CELEBRATION!
COMPLETE AND UTTER CELEBRATION!

ALLOW
THE RISEN LORD
TO LIVE
