The Betrayal of a Friend
The Betrayal of a Friend
This past year I’ve been betrayed by several people I considered to be very good friends. I feel like I was completely deceived about who they are and what they believe. And I never want that to happen again.
I wonder who is next. But then I think it doesn’t really matter so much to me the contents of your heart—it matters much more what is the contents of my heart.
Jesus knew the truth about Judas, but still called him and treated him as a disciple and a friend. God sends rain and sunlight to the crops of the wicked and not only the righteous. God offers His Love to every person, walked this earth in complete Love, no matter the betrayal to come.
The true will prove truer. And the liars will prove to be false. You may prove to be my friend. Or you may become my enemy. You may love me. Or you may hate me. You may defend me. Or you may wrong me. You may walk with me. And then you may crucify me.
Make your choice.
May God form me, change me, strengthen me, choose me, whatever the cost, whatever it takes, may He persevere no matter how I complain, so that I will always be true to Him, and be like Him as He longs for a friend and Bride to be.
