COMMUNION ENCOUNTER

The worship music is filling the sanctuary
drawing everyone present into GOD'S Holy of Holies
People begin to step forward for Communion
Each one examining their hearts
and asking forgiveness
Eagerly, they anticipate
GOD'S PRESENCE

As they approach the Communion Table
I look on and hesitate
Jesus calls me to come forward
but I already know the result

As I approach the Wine and the Bread
I feel His undeniable
PRESENCE!
It's a
FORCE
enveloping me
and
removing all my strength
I fall again ~~~ shaking in
HIS PRESENCE!
I feel as though I have gone
too close
to
HIS GLORY!
It's
CONSUMING and ELECTRIFYING!

As I lie there
A Vision appears before my spiritual eyes
of myself sitting at the Lord's Table
on the Holy Mountain
Jesus sits beside me
and offers me the Bread
and a crystal glass of Wine
He's smiling ~ He LOVES to entertain guests!

I relax and enjoy
HIS PRESENCE
Nothing else matters
Time passes
but I'm only aware
that I'm communing
with my
Best Friend, my Lord, my King
and
I am enthralled!!!

The music in the room ceases to fill the air
The lights dim and then go completely out
but I'm still supping at the Table
in utter, consuming JOY!!!
I never want to leave!  
Must I go?

Jesus, I don't understand why this happens to me
every time I go forward for Communion!
I think it must be a reminder that You are, indeed,
PRESENT AT COMMUNION!
The Bread and the Wine are Your
PRESENCE!!!
There are many things I don't understand...
How can I comprehend Your Love for me?
How can I understand a GOD
Who would send His only Son to die for me?
How can I understand a GOD
Who wants intimate Communion with His people?
I don't believe we are suppose to fully understand,
but to simply RECEIVE IT!

I RECEIVE IT ALL!!!
