GO!

WILL YOU COME RUN WITH ME?

As I awoke
from my sleep
GOD
began to speak to me
of all that I must do that day

It sounded like
an awful lot
for one day
I asked Him
if I could just stay in bed
for a little longer
He complied, but brought forth
a Vision while I hesitated

My spiritual eyes opened
to see myself as a small child
standing in front of His Throne
I came up just a little taller
than His Knees
I tapped on His Knees
in a playful manner and asked,

"Will You come run with me?
                        Will You come play with me?"

I knew He would
JUMP
at that invitation
so I turned around quickly
to get a head start on Him
My face
was hard and determined
My hands
balled up in a fist

I began to run
with everything I had
within me
My steps seemed
so small --- so very little
in contrast
to the determination
on my face
It sure seemed like
I would be taking
bigger steps

I looked next to me
and with
ONE STEP
GOD
was way ahead of me
I looked up at His Face
as He turned toward me
He scooped me in His Arms
and we were
"OFF"
BABY ~ WE FLEW!

He then spoke to me

"ARE YOU
GOING TO RUN
IN
YOUR EFFORT
OR
MINE
THIS DAY?"

I saw
the difference
first hand
and I knew
He
was right

He
has
taught me
and
taught me
and
taught me
that
"THE WORK IS OVER"

The effort
my effort
will bring forth
nothing

We are
to
PLAY
in
the Kingdom

We are to
CELEBRATE and ENJOY
ALL
that He is doing
through us
not
labor
and
labor
in our own effort
