DAY 7 -- 09/13/09
”What is the heart of a nation? What is the heart of these United States? Do you stand for Truth and Justice, Morality and True Peace? Or do you compromise to accomplish your objectives, and in the compromise, side with evil? If your heart was right, if your heart was Mine then you would prosper, but instead you sink to the lowest denominator and take no thought to the power over the future of your decisions today. What would cause your heart to change? When you are surrounded by overt and powerful evil, what do you seek? The normal person would seek relief, comfort, innocence, help . . . then why do you welcome evil by your rebellion to My Heart, to My Commands? You do not know that once evil enters, it does not lie passive, but will take over full control and expand and increase just like cancer.”
FATHER GOD
“The spiritual condition of a country at any given time is an issue that has great political ramifications. In light of this relationship, it becomes extremely important that a society knows whether its spiritual underpinnings are in a state of decline or advance. If in decline, the society must determine if anything can be done to prevent a further slide.”
-'Real Christianity' by William Wilberforce
"While America's military strength is important, let me add here that I've always maintained that the struggle now going on for the world will never be decided by bombs or rockets, by armies or military might. The real crisis we face today is a spiritual one; at the root, it is the test of moral will and faith."
-President Ronald Reagan
”This cancer will show forth in this hour in massive acts of hatred and violence. In many ways, it will be in the form of fires, for you see, the evil harbors in hell and fire is as ‘home‘ to these beings. They feel most powerful and attempt to claim their territory by the display and destruction of fire. As David Wilkerson prophesied fires throughout the cities, you must know that this will not be averted. You slide farther into hell each day, United States and yet you blame your neighbors, your leaders, everyone but yourself. But you must see, that everyone has the responsibility to pray, to stand and speak Truth, to denounce evil, to come before My Face and truly know your part.”
FATHER GOD
“We are all guilty --- we ought to all plead guilty, and not to exculpate ourselves by throwing the blame on others.”
-”William Wilberforce” in “Amazing Grace” by Eric Metaxas
”Political decay can thrive under cultural Christianity, but authentic faith will bring it to a sudden halt . . . When a culture has deteriorated to the condition ours has, it will take a vital faith for Christianity to survive at all. In times past, we enjoyed a society in which faith was not only practiced but also honored. Much has changed. Not only have we ceased to practice the faith of our forefathers, but we also now look at that faith as if it were some strange aberration of a time gladly gone. Respect for the past has ceased to exist. The danger now exists of a collapse of a system due to the lack of belief in the principles on which it was based.
We live in a state of cultural decline. A dry, unanimated religiosity does not have the ability to inspire the masses. Anyone who thinks otherwise knows little of human nature. People are looking for reality and authenticity in spiritual matters. Even if the upper classes are content to go through the religious motions, the common man will not tolerate such a charade. Philosophy might be adequate for the rich, but the man or woman on the streets needs a faith that is real and works in his or her life. Experience tells us that the common person is not looking for complicated theology. Theology is irrelevant to these individuals. But the kind of vital faith of which I speak knows no social boundaries. It is more likely to be embraced by the common person than by the upper classes which are held more in bondage to the materialistic spirit of the age. Everywhere vital faith invades, we will see people and society transformed from barbarism to a state of sobriety, decency, industry and whatever else makes men and women productive members of society.
If, by God’s grace, a new wave of true spirituality were to break forth and gain ground, there is no way of predicting the way public morals and the political welfare of the nation would benefit. The encroachment of toxic decay would be forced to cease. The blessings of God would once again be released in our land.”
-'Real Christianity' by William Wilberforce
“. . . my friends, what better than to join the crest of the wave, to ride the swell? What better than to dash against the foes of freedom and God, fully secure in the knowledge that the thousands beside you shall not fail, that our foes shall crumble.
The sunset has begun, but we have a chance to halt the sun in its course. We have a chance to bring to a nation resigned to darkness the light of the noonday sky.”
-Joseph Alm, student
May we soon be able to declare:
"Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what He did for me. For I cried out to Him for help, praising Him as I spoke. If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, my Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer."
